1. Nightlife

From cheap haunts to designer bars and enormous night clubs, Barcelona’s buzzing nightlife offers just about everything under the sun.
Our personal recommendation is Razzamatazz. Don’t be put off by the rather silly name as this is the mother of all Barcelona clubs. It’s actually 5 clubs in-one and your entrance fee covers all. Wander from one surreal experience to another as you mix with people from all walks of life with the only common factor being the pursuit of a good time. Keep in mind though, the Spanish eat late, sleep late, drink late and go out even later. So don’t be surprised if your night out doesn’t get going till well past midnight. Thank goodness for siestas!

2. Architecture & Culture

Barcelona contains 4th century remnants of the Roman Empire, Romanesque churches, and a whole Gothic neighbourhood complete with Cathedral, plazas, streets and churches from the 13th – 15th centuries.
And if that’s not enough to entice you, Barcelona is also crammed with galleries, museums, concert venues and theatres to round out the vibrant art scene. When you visit Barcelona, you'll find yourself torn between choosing one cultural event or another. There's always some going on!

3. Fashion

If you think of Madrid and Barcelona as Spain’s sister fashion capitals, Barcelona would be the funkier, more stylish twin - the Camden to Madrid’s Bond Street if you will.
You’ll find mega-fashion stores in Barcelona but you’ll find you’re the real Barcelona shopping experience inside the quirky off-beat boutiques and unique designer shops littered about the city.
